Open Church 14th September
Please do come and visit our Church on Saturday 14th September when we will be open as usual for the annual Churches and Chapels open day organised in our area by the Leicestershire Historic Churches Trust.
The open day this year coincides with our harvest weekend and between 10 am and 12 we will have a coffee morning to raise funds for Tear Fund as well as receiving gifts for the harvest display.
We also have hundreds of books to sell so visitors are welcome to browse through and purchase.
The church is open until 4pm and refreshments will be available all day for thirsty visitors.
The event is also known as the Ride & Stride and 30 Counties of England take part each year with many of the churches and chapels participating in Heritage Open Days as well.
We hope the weather will be kind this year for those walking and cycling around the County visiting open churches, one or two of our own members will join them and we are appealing for sponsors to support them.
50% of the funds raised by Blaby Congregational Church will be used to provide facilities for the community in Blaby and 50% is used by Leicestershire Historic Churches Trust to provide grants to churches for repairs or new facilities. For more information visit www.lhct.org.uk
