Blaby Elves Update - hub now open

Despite the name the Blaby Elves are not just for Christmas!

The Blaby Elves group have been delivering food parcels and vouchers to those in need in the Blaby and Glen Parva parishes since November 2020, helping families in need that are struggling to feed themselves.

The Blaby Elves provide shopping vouchers to allow you to do your own shopping and can signpost you to additional help.

Thoughout the COVID pandemic the Elves have been meeting on a monthly basis at Blaby Congregational Church to coordinate and plan activities or to make up gift parcels, now they are expanding their services by opening a hub to the public.

The Elves have been given access to Blaby Civic Centre on Leicester Road, Blaby which is providing a base from which they can meet people who need their help and to provide referral to agencies to provide further support.

After some delays due to the closure of the Civic Centre until October the hub has finally been able to open, the first session is on Thursday 14th October 2021.

The hub will be open every Thursday morning from 10am until 12pm at Blaby Civic Centre.
