Easter giving
We have not had a Friday Night Club for the young children of Blaby this year so for Easter I prepared some Easter bags, with a card, activities and a book of the Easter story and chocolate per child, these were delivered the week before Easter to all those who attended the summer Holiday club last year.
We have not seen the children for several months and we are so looking forward to being with them again. It was lovely to hear from them when they received the Easter bags.
We will not meet in April but we may once again be able to meet in May as restrictions in England ease, so lets hope that is the case and we can unite again. If we do meet we will not serve food, and will have a shorter session, from 3.30pm to 5.00pm and then hold one in both May and June.
For more information contact Pastor Julie.
The Blaby Elves group of which Julie and Susan are members have created 42 Easter bags (some were boxes as they went to families) to give out to those in Blaby and Glen Parva struggling at this time. They were given Easter eggs,(with many thanks to all those at church who donated these), teabags, coffee, hot cross buns, Easter cakes and biscuits. Blaby Elves are currently supporting 9 individuals and families all of whom received a bag or box, Blaby Connect are supporting 14 and all of these received a box and the rest are supported by the LAC (Local Area Co-Ordinator),we all work closely together to support the people of Blaby and Glen Parva.
