Easter Worship

This year there will be no joint ‘Churches Together’ services for obvious reasons, each church will instead do their own services. There will also not be a service of witness in the Blaby precinct or a parade through Blaby as gatherings in public are not allowed.

At our recent council meeting we agreed to the following services, a mixture of online and face to face.

The Maundy Thursday service will be at 7.30pm on Zoom and will be a communion service, so if you are attending then please have your bread and wine with you, at the appropriate time we will share this together. The service will include hymns (which you can sing to in your own home on mute) and there will be a meditation to music and pictures along with the communion service. If you would like the link please contact Pastor Julie before Wednesday.

The Good Friday service will be held in Church at 10.30am and you will need to book for this service in the usual way as you would do for a Sunday service. This will contain time for meditation as well as Bible Readings and hymns (hummed to only!). I will also send out details of what the other churches are doing in case you prefer to join them at this time. Sunday will be our new normal service at 10.00am with a maximum of 30 people so please do book for this Sunday, when we welcome the risen Jesus into our midst.

We will continue to follow COVID guidelines at these services and so nothing will be handed out, no tea/coffee or hot cross buns, we must continue to wear masks and singing is not allowed.

Please continue to follow the one way system and remember that all doors are open, so do wear warm clothes. All that said these services will be very special.

Julie
