Friday Night Club

During June we met on the 17th, as this was just before Father's Day we looked at bible fathers and spent the afternoon initially colouring pictures of The Lost Son.

We then walked to Bouskell Park and along the way we did a scavenger hunt, the children really liked this and by the time we got to the park, most of the items we had spotted, it was just the yellow car that we couldn’t find. At the park I told the story of the prodigal son (updated) and likened that to Jesus and God being ‘Our Father ‘

Back at the church we enjoyed fishfingers and chips from the chip shop, then as it was hot we finished with ice cream, this was most welcome. We completed the session by making Father’s Day cards to take home.

All too soon the time was up, and parents were coming to collect their children.

I do wish all the FNC a very happy holiday and hope that they enjoy the summer, although we will meet them again during the Holiday Club. My thanks are expressed to Susan, Jan and Ellie for their help at this session.

This was the last session of the current school year but don't worry your children don't need to wait until September to come back to the Church as we are again holding a Holiday Club!

The holiday club this year will be held on the first week in August (1st - 5th). As well as stories from the Bible, arts and crafts and games we are also going to book some sports leaders to run organised sports activities.

If you would like to book your children onto the holiday club please do so as soon as possible by contacting Pastor Julie or completing a contact form on the website. Places are limited.
