Spring Assembly - Midland Region
Today the Congrgational Federation East Midlands Area churches will meet for their Spring Assembly which this year will be held on zoom.
Current circumstances mean that we are unable to meet face to face, but Zoom enables us to meet online and enjoy fellowship, share in praise & worship and receive special presentations and some reports. I hope that as many as possible we grasp this opportunity this SATURDAY 13th MARCH commencing at 10.30am until 12.30pm.
The Spring Assembly is no longer our AGM so business will be kept to a minimum. We are expecting two interesting presentations from churches that grasped the opportunities that the pandemic and lockdown provided. As a result both have grown in membership. There will be opportunities for questions after each presentation so you can find out more. I am sure that you will find the presentations exciting.
We will also have the opportunity to join together in worship without wearing masks, but from the safety of our homes. There is more planned so we hope that every church will be represented and that a good number will attend.
As we move on through 2021 we should be able to meet face to face again, and eventually without masks. But does this mean things will go back the way they were? We need a positive view of the possibilities that lie ahead. Please come and explore this with folk from other Congregational churches.
